Razia is an award-winning professional belly dancer who has dedicated nearly a decade to the development of her art. With captivating stage presence and a bewitching smile, Razia artfully blends grace, passion, and musicality with rich cultural tradition in her performances. She dances in theatrical productions, fundraisers, nightclubs, restaurants, cultural events, and weddings in the United States and abroad, as well as participating in national belly dance competitions. She holds titles including:

“Professional Belly Dancer of the Year” 2004 (MED&CA Competition)

“First Place (People's Choice)—Professional Category” 2006 (Belly Dancer USA Competition)

A warm and engaging instructor, Razia strives to make each class a unique experience for her students, stressing the importance of excellent technique as well as personal expression and joy. She has earned accolades for her technical proficiency, musicality, and ability to clarify movements for students.

Razia's expertise has led her to become one of the most respected and sought-after instructors in her community, and she continues to grow in demand for national and international engagements. Razia draws inspiration from years of study with some of the best and brightest in her field, including Northwest dancers Aziza, Elisa Gamal, Astryd DeMichele, and Magidah. In constant pursuit of knowledge, Razia travels regularly to enrich her dance education. In 2003, Razia traveled to Cairo to take lessons with some of the masters of Egyptian belly dance, and in 2005, spent 6 months performing and teaching through one of North America's most successful belly dance schools, "Hannan's Bellydance Studio" in Toronto, Ontario.

Currently, Razia splits her time between her hometown of Eugene, Oregon, and England, where she enjoys cultural immersion and the opportunity to study with some of the best belly dancers in the world.
