Razia (USA) is an award-winning belly dancer with over a decade of professional experience. With captivating stage presence and a smile like sunshine, Razia artfully blends the passion, precision and rich musicality of Middle Eastern dance into each of her performances. She dances at corporate and community events, nightclubs, restaurants, cultural events and weddings in the United States and abroad, as well as participating in national and international belly dance competitions. She holds titles including:

“Professional Belly Dancer of the Year” 2004 (MED&CA Competition, USA)

A warm and engaging instructor, Razia strives to make each class a special experience for her students. She stresses the importance of excellent technique as well as personal expression and respect for the musical, cultural and historical traditions of the dance form. Razia's expertise has led her to become a highly respected and sought-after instructor in her community and she continues to grow in demand for national and international engagements. She has taught workshops in several countries, including Belgium, Canada, England and throughout the Pacific Northwest of the United States. She is a co-founder of RAKS (BE) and has been a featured instructor at events such as the International Bellydance Congress (UK), Raqs Britannia (UK) and Jewel of Yorkshire (UK).

Razia draws inspiration from training with some of the best and brightest in her field, including US dancers Aziza, Elisa Gamal, Astryd Farah and Magidah. In a constant search for knowledge, Razia travels regularly to enrich her dance education and has gone all over the world to study with masters of the art form. Her most recent travels have taken her to London, where she studies with Hossam and Serena Ramzy, Shafeek Ibrahim and Charlotte Desorgher.

Recently, Razia has relocated to London to join hipsinc, one of the top belly dance schools in the UK, as their newest teacher. She looks forward to sharing her passion for the dance with a whole new audience!
